Packaging: The outer packaging box is super cute but its obviously something I’m gonna throw out. Now talking about the actual powder tub, it is made of glass at the bottom with black plastic flip lid. Its small and compact. Infact doesn’t feel like a tub at all more like a compact box. It comes with sponge which I have lost already. I can never keep track on those. There is a small mirror inside too but because I lost my sponge the mirror is always covered in powder so its useless for me. The mirror is good for touch ups on the go but I would so not recommend this for traveling if you have the habit of losing the sponge like me. There are small holes inside so the powder can come out and there is a plastic film on top of those holes. Now what I have done is cut only half the film so there isn’t too much mess of powder pouring out, but that happens anyway. Infact when I got the box and it was sealed and it was still covered in powder. That’s the main reason I won’t recommend taking this when you are traveling even though its small, light weight and compact with mirror. The packaging is actually nice with no much fuss which I like, I just wish it was not such a mess for me every time.

Formula: Its a finely milled powder which is translucent (means it doesn’t have coverage because there is no color to the base). Its basically for mattifying on the go. The powder is white in color but disappears once blended on the skin. It does leave a white cast if used with a heavy hand. The texture of the powder is super smooth and doesn’t feel chalky and is easy to blend on the skin.

My Experience: I heard some of the bloggers say good things about it and I was super curious since Sugar is coming out with really good launches these days so I thought to give this a try. I ordered mine from Nykaa at full price, you can obviously get it from their own website or amazon and they also have some stalls in a lot of malls all over India.

My first impression of this wasn’t the best because it came covered in powder even with the seal. I got this around 3 months back and I have used a lot of it but I feel like I have wasted a lot of it too in cleaning it constantly since the powder flies everywhere now as I have lost the sponge. I anyway did not use the sponge, I prefer using a brush. If I am just setting my eyes I use a small setting brush and if I am using it on my full face I use a big fluffy powder brush like the Wet and Wild one in the picture. But I have dry skin so I don’t usually use it all over my face, I use it only on my T-zone especially my nose since that oils up the most.
I have dry flaky skin so I can’t use a lot of it otherwise it makes my skin look more dry. Use very little of it and don’t use it where you have dry patches. If you have oily skin you would really like it. But it doesn’t control oil for more then 5 hours you will need to re touch. If you have dry under eye I would recommend using a wet sponge to use with the powder to set your under eye. I did that for a wedding and my under eye did not crease for 10 hours which was new for me. This is perfect for summers what I prefer is using it with a stippling brush and set my whole face and that way it doesn’t deposit a lot of powder anywhere and my face stays matte through out the heat and sweat day.

This will work for all skin tones too. Even if you have dark skin it wont leave a white cast if you blend it properly. I would recommend this for all skin types especially if you are new at the whole setting powder game and want something that will work well as setting powder. Overall its a good product. I just wish the packaging i.e the dispenser was a little less messy.

For reference: I have dull, dry to combination (my nose is oily) and sensitive skin and have pigmentation around my lips and on the outline of my face. I’m not prone to acne but I do get them and sometimes heat boils due to weather change which does leave marks sometimes. I have a few blemishes too on my face. I have dark circles under my eyes.
