Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator is the new name

You can find this online: Click here

Price: Rs 1550/- for 30 ml

Rs 2550/- for 50 ml

Packaging: It comes in a light grey cardboard packaging with information printed on it. The tub comes in two sizes. The tub is made of good quality plastic. The tub is sturdy and travel friendly. The lid is screw cap in silver color. The bottom of the tub is transparent so you can see the quantity inside. The product name and info is embellished in white on the tub.

Formula: The formula is gel based. Its not very thick in consistency. Its light pink in color but it goes transparent on the skin. Its light weight and hydrating. It has no scent therefore its great for sensitive skin.

** I’m reviewing the extended thirst relief here which has been replaced by 72 – Hr Auto Replenishing Hydrator. But the formula is basically the same infact the new moisture surge is more hydrating.

My Experience: I have sensitive and dry skin I need constant hydration but I cannot use something thick because it clogs my pores. I get redness on my cheeks due to heat or allergic reaction to pollution and moisture surge has helped me a lot in that area.

I use this during the day. It makes my skin feel soft, smooth and glowly. It works like a primer for my makeup. I also use this like spot treatment by applying a thick layer of it on the parts which need extra attention like around my mouth . You can also use this over your makeup. I have never used it like a thick 5 min mask because its too expensive to do so.

As some bloggers show you can also use this an highlighter by dabbing a little on your cheekbones. Its a great alternative for natural glow but I don’t use this trick in general because it looks fancy but it makes your foundation underneath move.

I don’t use this at night because I need something more heavy duty and I prefer sleeping mask or facial oil before bed. During winters and dry season I sometimes go over with another moisturizer but I do use this everyday. I haven’t liked anything after using this. I have been using this for over a year now and nothing comes close to duping it.

***Untill recently, I have found a gel which is close match and I will review it this coming Thursday on my blog so stay tuned.

My Rating:

(Clinique is expensive but they do make great skincare products for all skin types especially sensitive skin)

For reference: I have dull, dry to combination (my nose is oily) and sensitive skin and have pigmentation around my lips and on the outline of my face. I’m not prone to acne but I do get them and sometimes heat boils due to weather change which do leave marks sometimes. I have a few blemishes too on my face. I have dark circles under my eyes.
