Baene Sugar Body Scrub & Body Yogurt Review

Baene Bathing essentials have been there for a while in the Indian market but they recently changed their packaging and sent me their body duo to test it out and review it for you guys but obviously whatever I feel is my experience and this post isn’t sponsored. I tried this body duo for 2 weeks plus and I am reviewing it for you guys based on my experience.

About the Company

BAENE is a luxury bathing and hygiene expert brand. We are the brainchild of a mother-son duo and a mix of our imagination and reality, where we are perceiving the idea of gracious bathing. We make our products with utmost love, pairing with bubbles of thought leading to the formulation and specific targeting of your skin’s needs and desires. BAENE is giving luxury and sassy products for your everyday skincare in a box. Our products are rich in minerals and essential oils to make your skin supple and fresh like new.

We know how relaxing and soothing an impact bathing can have, here we introduce you, to us!

Packaging: Now let’s talk about the packaging since that’s new. The packaging of both products is the same. Each product comes in a round plastic tub with a white color screw lid. The bottom is see-through so you can see the product inside. There is a very pretty label on the tub where required information is printed like the name of the product, application, ingredients, warning, and also manufacturing and packaging details so you can check the pricing and best before date. The packaging is of good sturdy material and won’t break easily if you drop it. It travels friendly since there is no product leakage. Overall the packaging looks really good and feels luxurious in your hands.

My Experience:

Let’s start with the texture of the scrub, now the scrub is a sugar scrub but the sugar (sucrose) is dissolved and the granules you see and feel are the walnut shell. The consistency is gel-like and you see a lot of granules (walnut shell) but in reality, they are very sparse and are not at all sharp so they don’t hurt your skin even if you go a little rough which I would suggest don’t. It does have added fragrance but the scent isn’t overwhelming nor does it irritate the skin. The scent is flowery more like fancy rose perfume.

The scrub doesn’t foam so if you are sweaty or dirty use a cleanser before you use the scrub. The gel kind of gets absorbed on the skin as you massage it. The skin feels smooth and soft. The gel texture of the scrub moisturizes the skin I like using it on rough dry skin. It leaves the skin plump and hydrated.

I really do like using this. This scrub is great to use a day after you have shaved or waxed. I would suggest using this once a week.

My Recommendation:

If you are looking for a good gel-based non-abrasive body scrub then do give this one a try. But if you are looking for a scrub that cleanses too then this isn’t for you. Also, this does have essential oil so if you are against EO or you are allergic to EO then this isn’t for you. This scrub polishes your skin and also hydrates so if you have rough-textured and dry skin on your body you would like this.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

My Experience:

Can we start with this is my favorite. This body yogurt is exactly what I like in my moisturizers. The texture is gel-like very lightweight and cooling on the skin. Makes the skin look supple and hydrated. The hydrated feel stays also for longer. On me, the hydration level stayed up to 10 hours, on my mom it stayed an hour or two longer. She loves it too.

It does have added fragrance but it smells really nice. The scent is a proper mixture of cucumber and aloe and it lingers for 2 hours or so. The scent isn’t overwhelming and doesn’t irritate the skin. It feels super cooling on the skin even in heat and humid weather. The body doesn’t feel sticky or sweaty in any way.

I especially loved using this after shaving my skin and I noticed that when new hair growth came up it didn’t poke in any weird way and caused irritation. In fact, it worked on my rash I had gotten from an insect bite. Continuous use of this really helped. Now I don’t know if it helps with wrinkles and fine lines and dark spots since I will need to use at least 3 months to see any results in those terms. I’ll do an update here after 3 months.

The price does seem a little more since you need a good quantity to cover your whole body but if you use my 20% code on vanity wagon it wouldn’t be that bad now would it.

My Recommendation:

If you have very dry skin then maybe this is too light for you but if you dry to normal to oily skin then you would really like this especially in the summers since its very cooling on the skin in a good way. The best recommendation I can say is that even though I got this in PR I would repurchase another one myself because I really liked using this almost as much as I like using the Body shop Body yogurt (which I totally adore)

Now if you had to try one thing out of these two go for the body yogurt because I love it.
