Wet n Wild Lipsticks

So I have been stalking Wet N Wild for much longer. So when I went to Thailand the first thing I searched for was Wet n Wild counter and I bought their Catsuit Lipstick in Rebel Rose and I really liked it that I prayed they launched in India which they did in exactly 6 months I was super happy and went over board. Now I have bunch of Wet n Wild products out of which I have already reviewed their contour palette and their concealer you can check out my blog posts for them.
Disclaimer: Now I’m super sorry for my swatches I just really suck at them. One is small or one is too big a weird shaped swatch. Just ignore that and look at the color please. I hope you enjoy this.

Packaging:

The packaging on these are seriously the worst quality ever. The Plastic is flimsy and the cover breaks far to easily so please don’t drop it. Also the cap gets dirty however many times you clean it, it just gets dirty ever time you open or close it. The lipstick tube is super light weight so you can carry it around. But then at this rate I don’t think we can ask for more so I’m okay with it now.

My Experience:

I love my matte lipsticks so I definitely love these. These do tug a little at first go when you apply it but then it gets smooth once it gets a little warmed up. These are super pigmented so you can like get full color opacity at just 2 swipes. These give your lips the velvet feel. They are quite light weight on the lips but are drying. So if you hate drying lipsticks then skip it. The formula on these are quite close to the Mac Matte Lipsticks and most of their lip shades are great dupes for the Mac Lipsticks.

These lasts for atleast 6- 7 hours on the lips even after eating and drinking. They do fade in parts if you eat something too oily but not bad. When you reapply just wipe off the remaining lipstick on the lips and then apply again otherwise it does emphasis your lip cracks. Scrubbing your lips and hydrating them before you apply these are recommended, this will just help the lipstick to look good and stay longer comfortably. They do transfer especially when you drink or eat.

If you want a good matte lipstick at a good price then definitely go for this. They have some really gorgeous colours.

My Rating: 3/5

{Now I love these but they are drying and the packaging isn’t the best so I gave it three}

Packaging:

The packaging is small and convenient and I like that. Its small and round glass tube with black plastic cap. The quality of this packaging is much better. The name of the lipstick and brand is on the tube and the name of the color is on the bottom. The applicator is the best part. Its a nice doe foot applicator soft and evens out the application but it has a slight curve to the applicator which makes it perfect to apply on your lips and get to the corner and get precise lip line without making a mess. Great for when you have small lips. The applicator does pick up enough product that you don’t have to dip in the tube again and again.

My Experience:

Now these are quite the cult favorite lipstick of everyone and I know why, these are great liquid lipstick at these prices. They are quite comfortable to wear and are long lasting and the best part they don’t fade weird or patchy. The important part they are affordable and have all the basic colors you are gonna need.

I bought Rebel Rose 2 years ago and I love it. Its a cool tone pink nude which will suit fair to medium skin tone. It does wash me off if I get tanned. Otherwise I can wear it without makeup. It has a powdery matte finish on the lips which is transfer proof and doesn’t smudge which is great. The formula of these lipstick match the formula of Lakme Absolute matte melt liquid lip color to a certain extent.

Now the color Give Me Mocha is nude too but brown peachy based and will look good on all skin tone even deeper skin tone. It does look neutral tone on me but its more on the warm side which is why it suits almost everyone. I need two layers to get full pigmentation of this color compared to rebel rose. Also this color takes a little longer to dry on my lips. These are not the sticky kind so if you hate sticky lipsticks then you will really like this.

These lasts upto 7-8 hours even with eating and drinking. When you reapply remove the first layer otherwise it gets crusty in centre and balls up and crumbles. These are great everyday lipstick which need minimal touch ups in the day so if you are looking for an affordable liquid lipstick then go for this.

My Rating: 4/5

{I think these are great for the price and the colors are amazing}

Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lip Color,

Price: Rs 299/- for 3.2 gm

Packaging:

Its a roll up/ twist up crayon pencil packaging. Looks like a pencil. Its color coded at bottom and the cap. The lipstick is quite light weight super easy to carry around. Just be careful with the cap. The name of the lipstick is on the pencil and the name of the color is on the bottom.

My Experience:

Not the biggest fan of this one. When I saw this I thought they would be like the Elf Matte lip color. The packaging is the same but these are a lot more creamy and look glossy on the lips. These are quite comfortable to wear but fade super easy. Like in 3 hours it disappears, you have to constantly reapply which I’m not a fan off.

They have only two colors available and this shade will only suit fair to medium skin tone and wash out deeper skin tone. According to me you can skip this unless you love crayon lipstick and don’t mind the reapplication because these are quite affordable.

My Rating: 2/5

{I actually carry this in my hand bag all the time because its easy to travel with and apply on the go and its a nude shade}
