My Experience:

I like Vilvah as a brand they make some really good products so when I was placing an order on their site to try out some of their products I was interested in their masks since they are gel-based. I have rarely seen the combination of clay and gel, which makes this mask really unique. Gel masks are actually the best for acne-prone and dry skin.

It has a thick gel-like consistency with the scent of rose. You can really smell the rose when you apply the mask. The scent lingers for the next 10 mins or so. The mask doesn't completely dry off. It feels cooling the instant you apply the mask. The cool feeling stays but its not a tingling sensation. It washes off very easily it doesn't cause any mess compared to clay masks. Skin feels instantly refreshed. Your skin looks fresh and hydrated. It does brighten but nothing drastic. It's great if you have tired skin (usually get it due to lack of sleep or sitting in front of a computer screen for too long). Also, I love the packaging it's lightweight and sturdy enough for you to travel with and it also keeps the mask cool inside. The bonus is that the packaging is environment-friendly.

I bought this mask in September and I have been using it since then but I don't use it continuously since I try out a lot of other masks. There was a weird white color formation on my mask recently and I do store my mask in a dry clean place away from sunlight but I guess you have to keep this one in the fridge after you open it. I hadn't read that in the instruction on their site so I didn't think about it but recently when I saw the white spots I contacted the brand and asked why it happened and they said you have to refrigerate it. So I checked the instructions again (I have added screenshots from Nykaa and their own website) and you can see it does say to put it in the fridge on Nykaa but doesn't on their own website. I hope they correct that since a lot of us keep our masks out. I scooped out the white parts and cleaned out the mask and it feels the same as there isn't any bad odor and it also feels the same on the skin it didn't cause any issue so now I'll store this in the fridge and continue using it.

I wouldn't repurchase this even though I really like it. Since I use a lot of other masks and I can't have something that I will have to worry about getting spoiled if I don't refrigerate. But I may get this if I have fewer masks, especially in the winter season. Its the perfect winter mask or if you live in a dry place and tend to get flaky skin. If you get sunburnt and want something cooling but also that will help with your tan this mask is perfect for that.

My Recommendation:

If you have dry skin then definitely give this one a try but buy this only if you are going to use it continuously otherwise it will expire. If you suffer from cystic acne then you would like this mask but I would say go for the charcoal variant since that's gel-based too and works better for acne. If you have oily skin then this isn't for you. This mask is perfect for skin like mine which is dry and easily irritated (sensitive skin).

My Rating: 🌹🌹🌹🌹

{Even after the white bead formation I still like this mask it is just that now I'll store it in the fridge}
