The Body Shop Face Mask Reviews

I have all of their muti maskings range other than the British Rose one. Its only one I haven’t tried but all the rest are tried and tested for a long period of time. The packaging of the masks is the same but the prices have increased from the time they have been launched. I hope this helps you in deciding which one or two are meant for you.

My Experience:

If you know me you would know I love this mask. This is my all-time favorite mask. I have done a detailed review of it which you can check out if you haven’t already. Click here
This mask works for all skin types and is great for dull & dry skin. This mask is something I always use and will always use. I have used up quite a number of tubs of this and I always have a backup. I wouldn’t suggest this to people who suffer from cystic acne though.

Tip: Use this as a scrub on dry patches or all over the face and neck

My Experience:

This is my 2nd favorite from the Body shop. I live in the city so it’s basically pollution all the time and when you are traveling it kind of gets too much for your skin especially if you’re prone to allergies like me. I have sensitive dry skin so I need a mask that won’t cause other problems. This one is great for regular use. It’s mild, it’s creamy and perfect for city travelers.

It doesn’t dry your skin, in fact, it nourishes it as it is creamy in texture. It’s soothing on the skin feels cool, even the scent is soothing. It’s great if you suffer from acne. Regular use of this will help you control inflammation caused due to heat exposure. It has small granules which help to exfoliate but they are very small and very gentle. I have used up a few tubs of this one and I plan to get backups for this too since I love it that much.

Tip: Wash your face with a face wash before you use this mask. Use this atleast once a week.

My Experience:

This is known as an energizing mask and it does it a job well. It’s seriously a morning mask. It wakes you up like none other. You feel instantly fresh. If you have dull or tired-looking skin then this is made for you. Also, this isn’t drying but its not super nourishing either. You can smell the Acai and it is soothing on the skin. It also has minute granules that help in exploiting the skin which makes your skin feel smooth and soft. helps with the dry patches. Gives you a mild glow too. This mask is one of the reasons I haven’t brought their British rose one since they feel similar to me. After I finish this one I’ll try that one out.

Tip: Don’t rub it too hard on the skin. It can leave your skin feeling raw.

My Experience:

When I had reviewed this earlier which you can check out Click here I really did like the mask but now I have different opinions {I haven’t changed my old review but I’ll add in an update soon}

I loved this mask when I had just bought the mask and was using it. Then the formula wasn’t too thick and worked great to suck out the impurities and made my skin smooth and clean without drying it out completely. It has tea tree particles in it which helped in exfoliating too. The major con was that it was super messy to use it. But as and when the time passed. The formula of the mask changed and turned too thick, now its completely dried up in the tub. I have used other masks from the body shop and none of them changed the formula as this did. I can’t use it anymore. I still had 4 to 5 uses left which are gonna go to waste. I tried mixing it with water but it’s not working and no I didn’t keep the lid open either and I keep all my masks in the same dry place away from the sunlight. But I did really like it when I was using it before so if you have acne-prone oily skin and you can finish this up faster then me since I use too many masks then I think you would love this mask.

Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Instant Soothing Mask

Product Description:

Sensitive skin doesn’t need to miss out on exfoliating face masks with The Body Shop 100% vegetarian Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Instant Soothing Mask. Inspired by ancient Roman recipes, the mask has a creamy, porridge-like blend of oatmeal from the UK and community trade organic almond milk from Spain. It helps relieve dry, sensitive skin from feelings of tightness and itchiness, and gently exfoliates to leave skin feeling softer, smoother and recharged with moisture.

Price: Rs 1895/-

My Experience:

This has been a recent addition this year. I bought it at the time it launched since it said its meant for sensitive-dry skin. I am both. Its made of oats and almond milk. Both ingredients are great for sensitive skin. Oats works as a great exfoliator and almond milk deeply nourishes your skin and repairs it from inside. Actually this is the perfect winter mask. Since this not only soothes your skin and scrubs away impurities it also deeply hydrates and gets rid of dry patches and not just temporary. The effect of this mask does stay longer.

The formula is thick and creamy and has a soothing milky scent to it (smells like breakfast cereal). Apply a thin layer and let it sit for 10 to 15 mins then just wash it off or wipe it off with a wet cloth. You will instantly feel cooling and your skin feels super soft.

If you have oily skin you wouldn’t like this much though since it doesn’t do much in terms of cleaning out pores or controlling acne. Also, it may seem too heavy in the summers.

Tip: Use a face scrub before you use this mask that way you get smooth and soft skin in one go.

My Experience:

This is again a very recent addition to my collection. I got it because it smells like coffee and the delicious kind of coffee. If you are a coffee lover you will love this one instantly. Now the formula on this one is different compared to the others. When you apply this on your skin it actually feels warm. The consistency is gel-like and it stays warm on your skin for atleast 5 mins after application which relaxes your face muscles and also cleans out your pores. This is a great mask for all skin types I feel but especially for tired skin. We all know the pressure of late nights and working at the computer or taking care of kids with next to no sleep and our skin suffers the worst of it. This mask also has tiny and sparse particles which help in exfoliating but are not too harsh on the skin.

From the time I have been using this I have realized my skin looks bright, awake and less stressed. Coffee is great to wake up your senses. I have been using this once in 10 days from the last 3 months and I have been loving it. A little goes a long way, so one tub will last you a while since you don’t need to use this mask all the time. You can keep this for special occasions.

Tip: Don’t mix this with any kind of acid, AHA & BHA skincare products since this mask is warm and it deep cleans your pores already. Also, this is great to use before using a nose strip for blackheads and whiteheads.

My Experience:

Now I don’t have the full tub of this is because the first time I tried the sample I got rashes on my skin. This was 2 to 3 years ago. So I decided to give this one another try when I got another one to two samples of it. This time it didn’t give me rash or redness and it worked really well on my skin. I just saw that I didn’t mix any other strong ingredients with it. So I have always been allergic to using honey on the skin but I guess after using honey cleanser form Vilvah I got used to it so this time the mask didn’t affect me in any bad way. It is quite a hydrating mask. It’s gel-based and it does tingle a little on the skin. This is a great mask if you suffer from dryness or dry patches. Long term use of this will help in maintaining the PH of your skin and elasticity. If you are 30 & above I would say definitely give this one a try. I am not getting the full tub right now because I am loving the coffee mask and for hydration, I prefer my Pure Elements hydrating mask a lot more.

Tip: you can use this as a spot treatment on dry patches.
