St.Botanica Vitamin C 20% + Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum

St.Botanica Vitamin C Review

Product Description:

St.Botanica Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid uses the free-radical battler along with anti-inflammatory champ hyaluronic acid, a major component of skin, where it repairs the damage done by too much sun. This serum is further enhanced with Vitamin E, whose famous antioxidant powers also aid in nourishing skin repair. Science has shown that using skincare products containing both Vitamin E and C is more effective in protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful rays than those that contain only one of the two. Gotu kola, from the wetlands of Asia, a star in reducing lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. Blend in aloe extract to soothe and moisturize, jojoba oil (rich in natural fats similar to skin’s own and known to as a great acne fighter), toning and firming ally green tea extract, and the tightening power of tannin-rich wild geranium oil – and you’ve got a fabulous team of natural skin experts working for you each time you apply the serum. St.Botanica Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid absorbs fast and is skincare’s best step after toning. You’ll quickly see more hydrated, brighter skin with a more even skin tone. Your skin looks and feels restored and rejuvenated. Gentle and pure, our Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid won’t irritate or cause redness. It’s a natural antioxidant super-blast in a bottle!

Packaging:

It’s a glass bottle with a dropper. Since it is glass the bottle does have some weight to it but it’s not very difficult to travel with it just be careful. The bottle is dark so it doesn’t get direct sunlight. It comes in a cardboard box that has most of the required information but I don’t have it since I usually throw away the boxes. The bottle is quite compact so easy to store.

Formula:

The consistency is liquidy since it’s an oil-based serum but it is fast-absorbing oil. It is yellow in color like turmeric and it does get darker over a period of time since it does oxidize. It does have a scent that feels strong when you are applying it and it lingers for 5 mins after application then slowly fades away. I don’t really mind the scent since it feels calming for me but if you hate scented products skip it.

My Experience with St.Botanica  Vitamin C :

I bought this since it was on a huge discount on Myntra and this product is expensive so when I saw it was on 40% off I bought it and I am super glad I did because I really enjoyed using this. This bottle is 20 ml but you need less compared to other serums so in usage it comes to the same as 30 ml bottles.

You need 3 to 4 drops for your whole face. I like to take drops in my palm and rubbed them together and then apply on my face and neck since the warmth of your skin makes the serum blend on the skin super easy and quick. It instantly gives you a glow and your face seriously shines for the first 10 to 15 mins. If you apply too much it will feel sticky but it is not really all that sticky just give it 5 mins to completely absorb on the skin. I prefer using this at night time skincare routine and I don’t use this in the day.

Now since this is oil-based it is more recommended to dry skin but actually, this works great for oily acne prone skin too since this serum really helps will controlling acne and makes the existing acne disappear faster but at the same time if you use too much this and layer it with something clogging then it will cause acne. I like using something gel-based or oil-based moisturizer on top just avoid anything water-based with this one.

If you have oily skin just this serum also works you don’t need to follow it up with a moisturizer since it’s moisturizing enough by itself. I have dry skin so I follow it up with a gel-based moisturizer. This is a great serum to use in winters since it not only hydrates but also gives you a glow which the winter season usually takes it away from us. Regular use of this helps fade old scars especially stubborn acne scars.

If you use this regularly for 2 months you will notice that skin turns a lot smoother and softer to touch and it does fade away the blemishes making it look more even-toned. Using this every alternate day works best. One bottle will last you 3 months if you use it regularly.

My Recommendation:

There is always a mixed review when it comes to this serum either people love it or hate it. I love it and I would repurchase this in the winter since I really like it. It totally depends on your needs if you want to try this serum since it is expensive and once you open it you will need to finish it otherwise it oxidizes. If you have dry skin and have old acne scars and keep getting new ones and have dull skin then you should give this one a try. If you hate oily feeling since you already have oily skin then you can skip this.
