Packaging: The tube is classy in nude with gold embellished name. The cap is secure. The shade no is on the sticker on the bottom. The packaging is pretty and travel friendly. I love how sleek and classy the packaging is.

Formula: The texture is creamy and soft. It glides like butter on the skin. The finish is dewy. It doesn't tug while applying as the consistency is creamy. It blends easily with a brush or a wet sponge. The Range has 18 shades. It has medium coverage and is buildable. It has no scent which great for sensitive skin.

My Experience: I like the formula of this foundation stick. The best way to use this stick according to my experience is to first moisturize (gel based) and use a primer. Then apply one layer and blend it with a brush or a wet sponge (both work equally well) And then use it where I need the extra coverage. Usually one layer gives medium coverage which is good for me. It is buildable upto 2 layers. It blends quite easily into the skin. I then set it with a loose powder because I do think it stays a little tacky and transfers if not set with a powder. It does separate on my nose ( as my nose area is oily and usually foundations separate there).

The foundation isn't completely sweat proof but you can always blot it using a tissue paper and you are good to go. It lasts upto 5 to 6 hours. If you use a setting spray it gives a more natural look and lasts a hour or so extra.

It doesn't emphasis dry patches but it does not cover your pores completely so using a pore perfecting primer is recommended if you have large pores.

Over all its a good foundation stick for day to day use.

Shade: I have the shade F10 which is described for medium skin tone with golden undertone. Its not the perfect color for me as F9 is too pink for me and F8 is light for me. To get my perfect shade I would have to mix F10 and F8 but I don't want to spend double to get my shade so I just use F10 with a light shade of setting powder. F10 does have proper golden undertone. I know Makeup Revolution does have 18 shades but I feel they don't have enough shades with yellow and olive undertones.

PROS:

  • Blends easily

  • Nice natural dewy finish

  • Medium coverage

  • No scent

  • Suitable for all skin types

  • Doesn't settle into fine lines or emphasis dry patches

  • Lasts upto 6 hours

CONS:

  • Gets cakey after 2 coats or if heavy powder is used to set

  • Needs primer especially for people who have large pores

  • Finding the right undertone is difficult

  • Needs to be set with a powder (especially for oily skin)

  • No SPF

**I also don't think its affordable as the Makeup Revolution products prices are higher in India as compared to UK but you can buy it during sale (when its on discount).

MY RATING: 💘💘💘💕 (3.5/5)

For reference: I have dry to combination (My nose and forehead is oily) and sensitive skin and have pigmentation around my lips and on the outline of my face. I'm not prone to acne but I do get heat boils due to weather change which do leave marks sometimes. I have few blemishes too on my face. I have dark circles under my eyes.
