Packaging:

I love the packaging on this. The bottle is super light and sturdy made of plastic. It comes with a dropper which is super easy to use. It comes in this really cute cardboard packaging which obviously I don’t keep around. The bottle is very travel-friendly.

Formulation:

This vitamin C serum is a lot different than other serums. First, it’s not sticky and it’s super lightweight, it feels water-based so if you have oily skin or combination skin or hate the greasy or sticky feeling you would love the texture of this one. The consistency is light airy liquidy that spreads very easily on the skin. Its colorless doesn’t have any yellow tint. It does have a strong scent but I don’t see added fragrance in the ingredients maybe it is from an added flower-based ingredient because it smells like mogra. If you hate scents then you won’t like this but I don’t mind it as much and I actually like the way this one smells.

It instantly feels cooling on the skin. It absorbs within seconds without any stickiness. It does give a subtle glow nothing too major. For oily skin, this could be hydrating enough in summers but I would still recommend following it up with a moisturization especially at night time. For dry skin, I would say you will need something stronger since it is not hydrating enough. The serum does make your skin feel smooth and soft if followed by a moisturizer but since I have dry skin my skin doesn’t feel plump. This works fine for me in my morning routine but at night I need something very moisturizing after this serum.

My Experience with Dot & Key Vitamin C Serum:

Regular use of this will help fade acne marks/ scars but the new ones will fade faster than the old stubborn ones. You will need to use this every day for at least 3 months to see a visible result but you see a brightness to your skin in a couple of weeks. In fact, this is one of those serums which works perfectly in your morning routine even in summers. This is a potent Vitamin C serum but because it is mixed with other ingredients it is beginner-friendly.

I usually don’t mix this with an oil-based product or facial oils I stick to gel-based or water gel moisturizer or better yet I just prefer using a sleeping mask. One bottle will work for you for 2 to 3 months if used once a day regularly. The price overall seems a little high but you can buy it when it’s at discount.

Caution: You can use vitamin C in your morning routine but you have to means you have to follow it up with sunscreen so please be careful. Also, sunscreen is compulsory in general whether it’s winter or rainy season.

My Recommendation:

If you have a combination to oily skin then this is good vitamin C serum to try. If you have dry skin give this one a try in summers. If you are a beginner and want to try vitamin C for the first time then this is a really good option. If you hate any kind of fragrance in skincare then this isn’t for you but mostly all vitamin C serums I have used have some kind of scent. I have too many serums right now to finish up so that will take me a while but I will definitely repurchase this in the summer season.

My Rating:💖💖💖/5
